The long life of ephemeral literature - 2nd internation conference
Announcement: Unlike previously announced, the conference will take place from 10 to 11 April, and not from 8 to 9 May.
From April 10 to 11 2025, the second international conference "The long life of printed ephemeral literature" will take place in Geneva.
Geneva, an important city for the history of European printing, holds several collections of French and English printed sheets, Spanish pliegos de cordel and Brazilian prints. The aim of this conference is to make known the richness of these collections, to discuss the research currently being carried out in Western Europe and to consider this production from a transnational perspective with a broad chronological scale.
Thus, the areas of research that have been chosen for this international and interdisciplinary meeting - in the image of its object of study - are the following: 1) "The role of images"; 2) "Propaganda and censorship"; 3) "State of the field". A detailed description of these three areas of research and how to take part is available in the Call for papers section.
